The Beginning...
Welcome to Four Wheel Freedom; the blog chronicling my adventures over the road highlighting vacation destinations, amazing places to visit during a day trip or over a weekend; all while enjoying the trip in a vehicle over the road. Along the way we'll learn the best ways to prepare, enjoy, (and in some cases) recover from a vacation over the road. With so many things to see, places to shop, places to eat, and so many homes away from home; a vacation over the road can open up so many new experiences for yourself, you and a loved one, or for the entire family.
Not very long ago there was the dream of packing the family into the car and going on vacation to a new and exciting place. It's lead to the improvement and comfort of vehicles, the growth and improvement of the interstate system, and the growth of many new attractions. One of the most noted and most popular destinations for road trips is Orlando, FL; home to many exciting attractions like Universal Studios, Sea World, and the Walt Disney World Resort. These places have grown exponentially because of the number of visitors that visit them each year; and a great deal of them get to those destinations by car.
There is a misconception that a road trip is something done over many days. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Many road trips can be done in a single day or over a weekend. And some of the best locations may not be that far from home. It's the experiences that you are willing to create for yourself and your family that will make the adventure what you envision it to be.
This is the start to a brand new adventure. A chance to share our journey with you. A chance for you to enjoy our experiences and, (in a few cases) learn from our mistakes. I hope you all enjoy the ride. So buckle up, put on your favorite tunes, and let's hit the open road.
